I've been giving new direction to Welcome Stranger since 2020: a meandering series of temporary artworks has been forming on facades and rooftops of artists' houses - in the capillaries of the city.
There, art is not an island. It is truly alive, it mixes with the everyday - with people, places, moments.

As a curator at the Oude Kerk, I invite contemporary artists to create new work for this site steeped in history.
The Oude Kerk has been collaborating with artists for years to engage with histories that are often told too easily — or not told at all. Artists are invited not to explain history, but to reimagine it, to disturb it, to introduce doubt.
Since 2019 I am also working on an initiative that reflects the way I work: the new online platform of the Oude Kerk, which I initiated and helped develop. Launching: june 2026, the platform invites visitors to experience the Oude Kerk as a living space – where art, memory, history, and the present are in flux and constant dialogue.
